Project Description
Dr. Lisa Clarke received her undergraduate education from Queen’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and minor in Health Studies. She continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2009.
In addition to her chiropractic training, Dr. Clarke is also certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University. She regularly attends seminars to update her knowledge as a chiropractor and learn new techniques. Her current educational interests pertain to women’s health and pregnancy.
As a chiropractor, Dr. Clarke specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions and disorders relating to the skeletal, nervous, and muscular systems.
She believes in addressing the body as a whole and finding and treating the source of the problem rather than just the symptoms. Treatment is aimed at improving performance and optimizing function using evidence-based care. Compensation patterns, which develop over time, need to be addressed and corrected in order to rehabilitate and prevent injury.
Treatments may include soft tissue release, adjustments of the joints of the spine and/or extremities, acupuncture, electro-modalities, exercise prescription, custom orthotics, and lifestyle and nutritional advice. Dr. Clarke will work with you to create a plan of management that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. Everyone in the family can benefit from her care.
