Project Description
Back in Balance Clinic offers laser therapy in downtown Toronto. Cold laser therapy uses two different wavelengths of light energy to stimulate cells in the body to produce chemicals that are involved in the healing process. Because of this, laser can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions from musculoskeletal to non-musculoskeletal. It helps heal the body much faster than it normally would.
How is Laser Therapy Done?
The laser device is placed over the injured area for a short period. This could be around 30 seconds to several minutes. The laser light emitted by the device passes through the skin layers to reach the target area. The target cells absorb then the light resulting in normalizing of the injured tissues. This results in a reduction in pain and time taken for the healing to be done.
The common laser used for musculoskeletal conditions called a cold laser. It is used to treat chronic neck pains and back pains, arthritis, muscle soreness and other forms of body pains.
